A Swiss made half hunter pocket watch. The silver case has the London import hallmark for 1917/8, it has a smooth finish with a blue enamelled chapter ring. The front cover springs open when the crown is pressed. The rear cover & inner cover are hinged, all close firmly & evenly. The inner cover is engraved PRESENTED TO H.T.BRYEN. BY THE EAST FINCHLEY WAR SAVINGS ASSOCIATION. MARCH 1919. The rear cover has 2 small dents at the edge. The dial is excellent with no chips or cracks the numbers retain their paint infill. This is very unusual for a half hunter to have this sort of military style dial. The high quality Swiss lever movement has a cam regulator with a brass scale. The hands are lever set, to move the hands, do not pull up the crown, open the front cover, there is a lever on the bezel at 4, slide this out & turn the crown. Running well & keeping good time.
