A Victorian Swiss made pocket watch retailed by J W Benson watch maker to the Queen. The ornate silver case has hinged front, rear & inner rear covers all close firmly & evenly. The rear cover has the London silver hallmark for 1882 & the makers mark JWB. The inner cover is marked WATCH MAKER BY WARRANT TO THE QUEEN. J.W. BENSON 62 & 64 LUDGATE HILL LONDON. This cover also has the London silver mark for 1882. The bevelled glass is good with some minor edge chips. The dial is marked J.W. BENSON LONDON. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The watch is key wound & key set through holes in the rear inner cover. The Swiss made cylinder movement is running well & keeping good time.

Dimensions: 1,1/2" (38mm) diameter excluding the stem.
