A first world war Swiss made wristwatch by S&Co. The silver case is excellent, just some minor surface scratches, it has a wide bezel with an enamelled chapter ring & numerals to give the appearance of a half-hunter. The bezel, the rear cover & rear inner cover are hinged, all close firmly & evenly. The inside of the rear covers have the London import silver hallmark for 1914, the makers mark CN & the serial number 275328, there are also some other numbers scratched in. There is a watch makers ticket dated DEC 1924. The perspex 'glass' has yellowed with age. The dial is very unusual, it has a chapter ring but no numerals, there is a very faint (almost invisible) hairline running from VIII to XII. The lever movement is marked S&Co under a crown in an oval, also SWISS MADE in another oval. It is running well & keeping good time. The hands are pin-set, to move them, push in the pin on the edge at II & turn the crown. This type of watch would have been very expensive when new & would probably have been bought by an officer for use on active service in the war.
 Condition: Excellent
Dimensions: 1,1/4" (31mm) diameter excluding crown & lugs.
