|How to Submit Your Item(s)
Please provide clear and good quality images, displaying all sides of the item (such as the
underside of a figure, vase, or plate (even if there are no marks); or the back of a painting etc);
and please detail clearly any makers marks, stamps, signatures, or condition issues.
NB: To capture clear images of detail, hold the camera approx 10-12" inches away from the subject
and use a medium-high quality setting (2000-3000+ pixels) or macro-setting and test until clear. Try to
avoid any 'camera shake' when you take a photo, as this will blur the image.
Please include accurate dimensions and all information you know about the item(s), such as any
provenance, sale history, or other background information which might be helpful to the appraiser...

How we Appraise & Value Art & Antiques
Antiques, Art & Collectors' items are vast and complex, and to appraise and value them accurately requires
careful research and specialist consultation. We call on a network of specialists with a wealth
of knowledge, information and resources. We also refer to current market trends, including the
most up-to-date auction results, price guides and reference books.
We work with the UK's leading network of antique appraisers, including members of
the British Antique Dealers' Association (BADA),
the Association of Art and Antique Dealers (LAPADA),
the International Art and Antiques Trade Association (CINOA), and
the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
We complete almost all valuations within 5-10 working days, however some particularly rare or
highly specialist items may require further research, and in such circumstances we will keep you
informed. Please be assured that we will only provide correct and reliable information.
Our fees are highly competitive, and cover individual items, matched pairs / sets and collections...

|FREE Sales TIPS & Advice
TIMING, PLACEMENT and PROMOTION are all paramount in achieving the full potential value for your item(s), and to decide the best way to proceed with a sale we must also consider time scales... For instance, would you prefer a quicker sale to the trade (at a trade price)? Or do you have time to promote through a saleroom (to create bidding interest)? Or time (if required) to try and realise a higher-set retail value?
TIP: Condition, Rarity, Quality of Workmanship & Design, Quality of the Sales Environment (Gallery, Retail Shop / Centre, Auction, Fair, etc), Collecting Trends, Supply & Demand, the Economy, and many other factors can influence the value of an item.
