A Swiss made wristwatch retailed by Asprey with a movement supplied by Movado. Engraved with a Viscount's coronet. The silver case is a hunter style, more commonly found in pocket watches & very rare in wristwatches. (This is a genuine wristwatch & not a converted fob watch) Mostly made during the first world war as the solid cover protected the glass & dial from damage. The front cover has an engraved Viscount's coronet & the initials AB (or BA) & springs open when the button at 4 is pressed, the rear cover is also hinged, both close firmly & evenly. The silver case has the Chester hallmark for 1915/6 & the case makers mark BB. The dial is signed Asprey & is excellent with no chips or cracks. Some of the luminous paint infil is missing, this is usual for watches of this age, the paint is no longer luminous. The high quality Movado movement (unsigned) is running well & keeping good time, it was serviced February 2009. This is a very rare example of a quality WW1 wristwatch with a titled owner which would almost certainly have been bought for use on active service.
 Condition: Excellent
Dimensions: 1,3/8" (36mm) diameter excluding crown & lugs.
