These watches were often given as love tokens. Usually seen in gunmetal or silver, it is very rare to find one in gold. The case is very ornate, there is a floral scene on the rear with some traces of enamelling. The front, rear & rear inner covers are hinged & all close firmly & evenly. Both rear covers are stamped with the London 12 carat gold import mark for 1908. The enamell dial has gold coloured miute markers & central pattern. The Swiss cylinder movement is running well, it gains approx' 10 minutes per day, these types of watches were regarded as jewellery rather than serious timekeepers & were meant to be worn on evenings out where a few minutes error was nothing to worry about. The hands are 'pinset'. To set the time, press in the pin on the edge at 1 & turn the crown.
 Condition: Excellent
 Dimensions: 1,5/8" x 1,1/16" (41mm x 28mm)
