A Swiss made National Watch Co quarter repeater chronograph in an 18 carat gold hunter case. The flyback chronograph function is operated by a button at 12. Press once to start, again to stop & a third time to reset the centre second hand to 12. This runs independently from the main watch function. The repeater is operated by pressing the button at 7, the watch will then strike the hours & double strike the quarters past the hour. The case has a smooth finish with no engravings, some very minor pinhead sized dings on the front cover, all covers close firmly & evenly. The front cover springs open when the button on the crown is pressed. All covers are stamped 18K. The rear inner cover is marked NATIONAL WATCH Co CHAUX-DE-FONDS. The dial is excellent, there is a small scratch between the 2 & 3.The complicated Swiss lever movement is running well & keeping good time. The hands are lever set, to set the time, slide up a steel lever at 4 & turn the crown.
