B&Co Borgel cased silver pocket watch |

A rare Borgel cased Swiss made silver watch from 1912. The Borgel case was an early form of dust & damp proofing, it has a one piece back & a screw in movement. To take out the movement the crown is pulled up & the milled bezel, which is attached to the dial & movement, can then be screwed out. The case has a smooth finish with no engravings. The inside has the London import hallmark for 1912, the case makers mark AB & the Borgel mark FB above a key. The dial is excellent. The lever movement is marked 15 JEWELS SWISS MADE. 3016964 & has the number 1879 B&Co next to the balance wheel. Running well & keeping good time.

Dimensions: 1,3/4" (45mm) diameter excluding the stem.
