RARE WEDGWOOD BLUE JASPER SCENT PERFUME BOTTLE |

An exceptional blue jasper porcelain scent bottle of circular form with a porcelain stopper, and a copper screw top with suspensory ring. The bottle is decorated in fine relief to the front and rear with scenes involving children or putti. To the front a child sits on a rocky outcrop under a spreading tree, holding a bird, to the reverse the child lets the bird fly away, watched by a second figure holding a doll. The bottle is further enhanced with a shell collar, guilloche rings, and laurel band to the side. Circa 1800, unmarked but definitely Wedgwood.
Condition: Good
Dimensions: A little under 2¼in/5.7cm high excluding ring, a little under 1¾in/4.4cm diameter.
