Very Good Table Spoon. Hallmarks clear and relatively undamaged and show the Maker's Mark 'DA', the Date Letter for the Year 1709/1710, the Britannia Standard Mark and the Lion's Head Erased. Initials MS on terminal. Condition is at least Very Good for a 300 year-old rat-tail spoon! This is a lovely example! (With regard to the Maker's Mark, please see Jackson (1989), p163, for a possibly matching mark for Isaac Davenport (entered 1697). Note that the Maker's mark for Isaac Dalton on the same page was entered in 1711 (too late) and is not a tight enough match. Please also see Grimwade (1990), p 42, 437, for a Maker's mark for James Dalby, entered 1708. Fortunately, the pellet above the letter 'D' is just visible on the spoon, and its placement would appear to confirm the Maker as Isaac Davenport. Please view the images to decide for yourself. If you decide to make contact with the seller, other images can be taken and supplied if it helps.)
 Condition: Very Good
Dimensions: Length approximately 19.5cm or just over 7.5 inches. Weight: Approximately 60 grams
