Excellent quality and condition. Marked for Peter and Ann Bateman, which was a Makers' mark entered in 1791, the period in the Bateman story in which Peter and Ann ran the firm following the retirement of Hester in 1790. On seeing and handling this piece, it is immediately apparent that this is a high quality design in excellent condition after roughly 213 years. All other Hallmarks are crisp and deep - lovely examples. The Makers' mark is partially rubbed, although obviously identifiable. The owner's initials are engraved at the terminal. A really excellent Marrow Scoop! Please view the photos to help you decide.
