FINE EMERALD SCENT PERFUME BOTTLE, SILVER GILT TOP |

A scarce and handsome, oval shaped, deep emerald green smelling salts bottle, with an ornate embossed silver gilt hinged top and collar. The top has a thumbnail catch and a spring loaded inner glass liner to ensure an airtight seal. Both cap and collar ar chased with scrollwork and vegetal designs; the top is also embellished with an ornately engraved letter "B". Hallmarked for London 1858, indistinct maker's mark "VB" or "WB", possibly William Barber.

Dimensions: A little over 3¼in/9.5cm high.
