An early Victorian pocket watch in excellent condition. The silver case has the London hallmark for 1846, it has no dents & retains most of the original engine turning. The original bulls-eye glass is good but has some surface scratches. The dial has no cracks or chips. The brass dustcover has apertures for the balance cock & regulator, there is an engraving of a hare & snail either side of the regulator to depict fast or slow. The verge movement is signed Thos Webb London No 437. The masked balance cock has a diamond endstone. It is running well & keeping good time for a verge, gaining approx' 1/2 hour per day.
