A high quality silver cased watch in excellent condition. The case has a smooth finish with a tiny pinprick sized dent on the rear, a pin head sized dent on the edge of the bezel & on the edge of the case, it has a snap on front cover, a hinged rear cover & a hinged rear inner dustcover, all close firmly & evenly. The rear covers have the Birmingham hallmark for 1924. The rear dustcover is engraved G.S.Y. 1925. The glass is very good, with just some surface scuffs. The dial is excellent with no chips or hairlines. The English lever movement is signed THE NORTHERN GOLDSMITHS Co NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE. WATCHMAKERS TO THE LORDS OF THE ADMIRALTY. It is running well & keeping good time. The hands are pin-set, to move the hands, push in the pin at I & turn the crown.
