A Georgian silver pair cased verge with matching cases, both have the London hallmark for 1782 & the case makers mark IW. The outer case has a good hinge & the button is intact, there is some small minor bruising, the rear is engraved G.S, this has been poished almost smoth. The inner case has a good hinge, a slight dent by the winding hole, the rear is engraved G.S 1790. The bulls-eye' glass is very good. The dial is very good, there are small edge chips at 3 & 7. The verge movement is signed Hidlard Bristol. It is running well & keeps good time for an 18th century verge,gaining approx' 1 hour per day.
