Scent Bottle (double ended) |
 |
| Dateline: 19th Century |
Item# 31135 |

|
Clear glass, double ended scent bottle. The mounts and caps are probably silver but are not hallmarked. This was not unusual in some smaller Victorian items where they have used a thin layer of silver over brass . One end is hinged and spring loaded and the other is a screw top onto cork inside the cap. The spring loaded end was to ensure a better seal and was commonly used for smelling salts.
 Condition: Very Good
Dimensions: Length 5.9" (overall), width 1.3"
