This lovely Marrow Scoop has a good clear set of Hallmarks, including the Maker's Mark of 'JH' in script, which has been identified as a mark entered by John Holland (II) in 1739. To the rear of the large bowl is an intriguing, somewhat symmetrical engraving, which appears to read 'T 4 L' , perhaps with the intention of appearing almost the same after a 180 degree turn! The Hallmarks signify London Sterling Silver in 1743, from - we believe - John Holland (II). Certainly a very attractive Marrow Scoop which has worn very well over its 266 or so years.
 Condition: Very Good
Dimensions: Roughly 22cm in length (or over 8 and a half inches). Weight: Approximately 50 grams
