A fine flashed ruby, cut to clear glass vase, with a tapered upper section over a clear flute cut lower section on a rounded base. The vase is decorated with a very finely engraved rose and leaf spray within a dot and lens cartouche, as well as a scrollwork band between two straps and two fine outer rings. The back of the vase has an oval concave lens that "projects" the rose motif in sharp miniature (see image #4 for simulated effect). The rim is decorated with a band of engraved drapes and dots. Quite likely Haida/Stein Schönau but a definite attribution in not possible, signed to the base "ML" (could be Metelak Lubos), a circa 1910 dateline is suggested.
 Condition: Good
 Dimensions: 5¼in/13.3cm high.
