A Sterling Silver Salver / Waiter |
 |
| Dateline: Dated 1892 |
Item# 32522 |

|
Very clearly Hallmarked for Sterling Silver, London, 1892, and for Makers Thomas Bradbury & Sons, this salver/waiter is in very good condition. It bears centrally an engraving of a dragon above the Latin inscription 'Patria Infelici Fidelis', which, roughly translated, means ' Faithful to my unhappy country'. This is usually referring to Ireland, and an internet search quickly brings up the family name of Lanigan, with this as their family motto. The salver is in very good condition and has an very attractive type of 'pie crust' border. It is supported by three strong decorated feet. It is an extremely solid and undamaged piece of silver, with the appeal of the engraved centre and the attractive rim. A very attractive object which could readily be used.
 Condition: Very Good
Dimensions: Roughly 6 inches or 15 cm across. Weight: Roughly 180 grams
