A fine silver scent bottle, with a hinged top and glass stopper. The cylinder form bottle has relief wrythen form ribs, and the body is bright cut in a variety of shapes, lines, flicks and grooves that give the effect of tree bark; the top has a plain disk for initial or dedication engraving. Hallmarked on the base and inside of the lid for London 1882, the lid also with a design registration lozenge for 10 June 1882, maker's mark "SM" for Sampson Mordan.
