An excellent and large egg shape porcelain scent bottle, with a hinged silver top and plate mounted cork stopper. The glossy black ground body is finely hand enamelled with stylised flower heads within beaded cartouches, as well as varied geometric patterns and double bands; the base is embellished with a red dot. Hallmarked in the lid for Birmingham 1863, maker's mark "GW" for Gervase Wheeler.
Condition: Good
Dimensions: A little under 3½in/8.9cm high.
