An excellent double-ended scent bottle, with a hinged floral embossed silver gilt lid and glass stopper at one end, and a similar floral embossed cork lined screw top at the other. The clear tapered body is cut with diamond panels, and the bottle has a hinged sovereign or pill compartment in the centre. Both tops have plain raised roundels for initial or dedication engraving. Circa 1880, the tops are not hallmarked but have been tested for silver.
