This is absolute perfection. An exquisite example of French craftsmanship. Napoleon 111 period c.1861 of court quality. Grognier Arnaud was a master Goldsmith in Lyon and head of the guild, with his own retail store and boasted royal patronage including Queen Victoria.
The perfume bottle itself is of clear glass and the Pear shape is double bevelled. The hinged flip top cap has been tested as
22ct gold and is of a ribbed crown design, with an intricate delicate chaced floral motif. This is surmounted by a Pearl in an eight claw 22ct gold setting. The stopper is also 22ct topped. Complete with its own original fitted plush blue velvet and white silk lined case with a neat push button release. The Grognier Arnaud name is gold printed on the silk. The monogram A.H. has been applied to the lid.
