An excellent Victorian police truncheon, dating from approx 1860 or earlier, as it was around that time or earlier that lead was added to the base of the truncheon, a heavy darkened wood which probably is oak, it measures 17 1/2ins long and has a leather wrist strap, some scuffing, but no splits, a real good police truncheon here for an addition to a collection..
