FLORAL ENAMELLED BOX CASKET, POSSIBLY MOSER KARLSBAD |

A good casket shape box in pale blue, on a scrolled leaf work and shield pattern footed brass base. The box has brass mounts, and is decorated to the lid with a finely executed design of flower heads in polychrome enamels between gilt and white beaded stripes. The rest of the lid is embellished with in raised enamel with gilded leaf and bead work. The lower section has a saw tooth gilt and bead band, as well as enamel flower and leaf sprays also highlighted with gilt outlines. Circa 1885, unmarked, probably Moser Karlsbad.
Condition: Good
Dimensions: 3¼/8.2cm high, a little under 3¼/8.2cm long, 2¼in/5.7cm wide.
