This is a charming example of a late 18th century moulded and engraved wine glass.
The bowl is approximately bucket shaped with a slightly everted rim and is moulded in its lower two-thirds with a series of arched panels. The upper third is decorated with a stylised floral design. The stem is short and is approximately baluster in form. The upper part is deeply ribbed, giving a lobed appearance. The plain, slightly domed foot is folded at the edge and has a central rough pontil mark.
It has a height of approximately 9.8cm, with a diameter at the rim of about 5.9cm and at the foot of about 5.4cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
