An interesting rug by the Baharlu tribe of the Khamseh Confederation, Fars province, woven inscription in red-ground cartouche upper end: Farmayesh Khosrau (?) Khan Qashqa'i 1301 [AH] ('By order of Khosrau Khan Qashqa'i 1885-6 [AD]'), 6ft.9in. x 3ft.11in. 2.05m. x 1.20m. Overall wear, heavy in places, holes.
