This is a Bancroft pop-up, front cover cover shows a native American Indian in full regalia. He also appears on the back cover. The inside cover shows totem poles in sepia, together with two colourful scenes of Indian life. There are eight pages of story. The magnicifient pop-up is a double spread with 3 moving parts. It is a hugely colour illustration of life in an Indian Village with people, horses, etc. This is a a very rare and highly sought after book, one Kubasta's earlier masterpieces in the art of illustrating paper engineering.
Condition: Very Good. The staples are rusty but in no way affecting the illustrations and is common in this particular publication. The pop ups are very sound and show no signs of damage.
