An elegant cut glass dressing table pot, with an embossed floral and scrollwork sterling silver push on top. The cylinder shape body is cut with hobnails and diamonds within and between parallel grooves, the base is embellished with a starburst; the silver top has a vacant central cartouche. The silver lid hallmarked for Chester 1901, maker's mark "JD" over "WD" for James Deakin & Sons.
