"BERENGARIA" was the pride of the Cunard fleet. The ship had a fascinating history, having been built in Hamburg, Germany in 1912 by the Vulcan Shipyard. She was commissioned in 1913 as IMPERATOR. Her top speed was 23-24 k.p.h. After the first world war she was handed over to the Americans and was eventually purchased by Cunard in 1934. She had a crew of 1180 persons. In 1938 she was damaged by fire and was sold for scrap. The puzzle shows the ship near to harbour and is no. 1 of a set of 4. It consists of 60 pieces. Produced for Cunard by Chad Valley, England
Condition: Very Good. The box shows minor signs of age related wear.
