Elkington Meat Skewer with White Star Logo

Here is a 1913 meat skewer by the famous electroplaters Elkington & Co. (There is a 'B' as a date letter for 1913). It is immediately obvious that the electroplating is of a high standard and good thickness. There is no evidence of wear down to a base metal. There is surface scratching, but nothing which detracts from the appearance of the piece. These skewers sometimes find a new life as letter openers - will this be so here? The White Star Logo is clearly engraved and unworn.
Condition: Very Good. Light surface scratches. Occasional deeper but very small nicks and scratches. Overall at least Very Good condition.
Dimensions: Roughly 26cm in length. Inner diameter of the end ring is roughly 16mm
