A Small Derby Figure

A small Derby table decoration in the form of a putto, garlended with flowers and carrying a basket, also filled with flowers. These small figures, often representing the seasons, were placed around the dining table as decorative objects in their own right. This one, dating form around 1770, is more finely detailed and shows more movement than the more common later pieces made around 1800.
Condition: Very Good. This piece has been restored, as with most figures of this class, although this does not in any way detract from it's appeal.
