A Derby Tea Cup and Saucer

A fine porcelain Derby cup and saucer with retrained decoration consisting of a narrow border of dark blue overlaid with gilt scrollwork. A simple gilt and blue decorated line around the base of the cup and the cup ring of the saucer. Marked on the base of both pieces with the crowned cross batons and D and the pattern number, 162, in puce.
Condition: Excellent. Apart from some very slight wear to the gilding around the cup rim, both pieces are in excellent, original condition with no chips, cracks or restoration.
Dimensions: Cup, 6.5cm high x 8.0cm in diameter, excluding the handle. Saucer, 14.0cm in diameter
