A dessert set of six early 19thc shell border plates from the desirable Staffordshire pottery of New Hall.
The elaborately shaped and pierced rims are richly gilded and moulded in high relief with scallop shells, fleur de Lis and scrolls. The wide border are further gilded with flower sprays over the cobalt blue ground
and inset with four superb painted flower groups.
The centre reserves are painted with large flower groups of pink blowsy roses and delicate harebells. The painting and gilding is of high quality, with fine detail and delicate brush control.
Hand painted 2930 inside footrims.
 Condition: Excellent. They are in lovely condition: no chips or cracks or restoration.
