A splendid dark cream ground tile featuring two birds - one perched, the other in flight - and two sets of wild flowers, stems and leaves. The brown printed motifs are placed within circular frames, and the resulting four panels are divided by quatrefoil pattern stripes. There are additional stylised designs in the four corners of the panels. Fully marked on the reverse, plus registration lozenge for 1880.
Condition: Good. Small nick to the reverse top left edge not visible from the front; light surface age wear; no cracks or hairlines; image definition good - if you have any questions about this item, contact me.
