English Porcelain Scenic/Motto Mug

A 19th Century porcelain mug; handpainted in coloured enamels with English landscape scenes and a religious text beautifully handwritten in gilt. The text reads: "The loss of gold is great/The loss of time is more/But losing Christ is such a loss/As no man can restore."
Condition: Good. Chip to rim leading to a tight hairline crack down one side which, in my opinion, is not disfiguring enough to materially affect the sheer decorative quality of this piece. The gilding to the rim and the handle is slightly rubbed. There is a cut mark to the underside of the rim - not a chip but apparently made during manufacture. My asking price reflects this condition.
