A superb Spode porcelain Empire shape cup and saucer C1820 in lovely condition. The pieces are hand gilded in a stunning design of shell anthemions, lotus blooms and scrolls, all in relief work, accented with hand painted accents of green enamel. The saucer is deeply dishes and the bell shape cup has an everted rim and a gilded handle. Painted red Spode mark to base plus pattern no 3983 also in red.
Condition: Excellent. Both pieces are in good clean condition, with no chips, cracks or restoration. All the raised gilding work is fresh and undamaged.
Dimensions: Cup 3" high. Saucer 5.6" diameter.
