An unusual and enchanting 19thC Japanese porcelain Temple Lantern, painted in the characteristic vibrant Imari palette enamels. The lantern stands on a double-step octagonal base to a fluted collar rising in a ringed column. The cover is pagoda shape with curled eaves and has an acorn shape finial, the whole piece embellished with gilding.
 Condition: Excellent. Remarkable - no damage and no restoration, a couple of tiny insignificant glaze abrasions to a couple of corners on the cover, commensurate with age.
