A beautiful 19thC porcelain ice pail or cache-pot in nice condition with top quality potting and exquisite decoration. The bowl is completely decorated with foliate tendrils of raised gilding which rise from the base and cross to form an interwoven lattice inside which are painted pink roses, each flower group different and delicately painted. The pot is gilded with double wide bands and dentil at the foot and rim and the twin handles are richly gilded, the inverted C scroll turning out to form the shaped lugs modelled as acanthus leaves.
 Condition: Very Good. It is in very good condition with no significant issues. There is a faint short superficial hairline to the inside by each handle, neither of which are visible from the exterior. The gilding and enamels are fresh and strong. No chips or restoration.
 Dimensions: 4" (10cm) high x 6" (15cm) across handles.
