A striking, bone china Bute shape trio from the Spode factory, made in the early years of the Nineteenth Century. Decorated with a wide band of stylized gilt leaves, very much in the Classical manner. This set is unmarked, but the cup and coffee can have the standard shape Spode handles of the period.
Condition: Very Good. There is some little wear to the gilding on the cup ring of the saucer and to the rim of the cup. Otherwise, this set is in very good, original condition.
Dimensions: The cup: 4.5cm high x 8.0cm dia. The coffee can: 6.0cm high x 6.0cm dia. The saucer: 13.5cm dia.
