A very fine quality porcelain coffee cup and saucer produced by the Royal Worcester factory in 1886. Both pieces are hand painted in enamel and highlighted with gold, in the Japanese style. The cup is decorated with pink and blue blossom, with a yellow butterfly. The saucer similarly painted with pink blossom and red flowers and foliage and with a blue butterfly. There is a small dark brown border between gold lines around the edge of both the cup and saucer. Both pieces are marked on the base with the puce coloured, crowned Royal Worcester mark, with the date letter, x, for 1886 beneath. The pattern number, w1536, is hand written, in red.
Condition: Excellent. Both cup and saucer are sound with no chips, cracks or restoration
Dimensions: The cup stands 6.5cm high x 7.0cm in diameter, excluding the handle. The saucer measures 13.7cm in
