A Rare Unrecorded Minton Tea Bowl and Saucer
|
Dateline: Circa 1810 |
Item# 32145 |
White ground with a simple gilt pattern consisting of a line of single husks below a gilt rim. The base of both pieces bears the pattern number beneath the Minton mock Sevre mark, in blue. The pattern number, 556, is unrecorded in the surviving factory pattern books. This item therefore fills an important gap in the early production of this major factory.
Condition: Perfect. The decoration is in first rate condition and both pieces have no chips, cracks or restoration.
Dimensions: The tea bowl measures 8.3cm in diameter and stands 5.0cm high. The saucer is 14.0cm in diameter
