A Minton 'Dresden Embossed' Tea Cup & Saucer

A delightful porcelain tea cup and saucer made at the Minton factory around 1825. Of shaped and moulded form, both cup and saucer are decorated on a white ground with delicate, hand-painted cornflowers in blue, yellow and green enamel. This shape is described in the original factory pattern books as 'Dresden Embossed'. The bases of both pieces are marked with the hand-written pattern number, 272, in red.
Condition: Very Good. No chips, cracks, restoration or signs of wear.
Dimensions: Cup: 5.2cm height x 9.4cm diameter. Saucer: 15cm diameter.
