A Machin Bute Shape Tea Cup and Saucer
Dateline: Circa 1810 Item# 33874 
A splendid porcelain tea cup and saucer from the factory of Joseph Machin, made around 1810. This handsome pair is decorated in dark blue, overlaid with fine gilded leaves and passion flowers surrounding three small reserves, each decorated with summer flowers, in bright enamels. The base of the saucer is marked with the hand written pattern number, 374, in red.

Condition: Very Good. Just some very minor wear to the gilding on one small area of the saucer and the rim. Otherwise both pieces are in very good, original condition.

Dimensions: Cup: 5.5cm high x 8.3cm in diameter, excluding the handle. Saucer: 14.0cm in diameter
