A George Bowers Teapot and Cover

A particularly striking, rococo revival teapot and cover from the factory of George Bowers, made around 1843. Of shaped and moulded form, decorated with a salmon ground, overlaid with dark blue bands and scrolls, ribbons and leaves in white and gold. The base bears the printed design registration mark for 1843.
Condition: Good. The overall condition is good, but there is a faint 'hot water' crack to the base and a small area of professional restoration to a small section of the lid.
