A striking contemporary design silver and cut glass scent bottle, with a hinged lid and glass stopper. The square body and lightly domed top are decorated with fine, matching diagonal grooves; the glass body also has bevelled base edges. Hallmarked for London 1894 with additional number "17", maker's mark "SM&Co" for Sampson Mordan and Company.
