A rare and delightful porcelain scent bottle, realistically modelled as a partially open walnut. The bottle has a cork lined silver screw top and silver collar. Rubbed hallmark for London, probably 1886, somewhat rubbed maker's mark "S.M." for Sampson Mordan; registration number "28709" on the bottle base registered to James Macintyre, Washington China Works, Burslem.
