RUBY DOUBLE ENDED SCENT PERFUME BOTTLE

An exceptional, double ended, ruby glass scent bottle, with a silver gilt floral and scrollwork embossed screw top and stopper at one end, and a spring loaded, glass lined catch at the other. The spring top is embellished with a most attractive horseshoe shaped engraving disk, set with light blue, possibly turquoise, cabochons; the screw top is ornately engraved with the initials "MM". The cut glass bottle has v-shape bevelled shoulders and a ten sided panel body. Circa 1870.
 Condition: Good. One very small nick to the edge of a body panel; light surface age and use wear; no cracks or hairlines; good lid fits, hinge firm; both tops not hallmarked but tested for silver - if you have any questions about this item, contact me.
