A charming miniature Paris porcelain bottle, with a wrythen domed and rib banded gold screw top complete with suspensory ring. The high waisted body is hand enamelled in cobalt blue, with finely executed spear head and gadroon designs highlighted with gilt; the sides of the bottle are also embellished with gilt. The hand painted word "Souvenir" in black sits on white within an oval cartouche. French circa 1850, possibly a little earlier, the top is not hallmarked but tested for gold.
Condition: Good. Small loss to the bottom edge of the gold screw cap; rubbing to the gilt (mostly on the sides); no cracks or hairlines, good tight lid fit - if you have any questions about this item, contact me.
