GRAINGER IVORY PORCELAIN SCENT PERFUME BOTTLE

A fine and scarce pierced ivory porcelain scent bottle, with a hinged silver gilt top and collar, as well as a glass stopper. The bottle has acanthus leaf decorated shoulders, the lightly convex faces are pierced in see-through quatrefoil rosette designs within gilt embellished flower head and gilt bands. The scent is stored in a hollow cavity that runs around the edge of the bottle. Circa 1875, unmarked, but almost certainly by Grainger.
